[SMM Iron Ore Shipping Data] Global Shipments Up 9.2% WoW, Port Arrivals Surge 30%

The total SMM global iron ore shipments stood at 34.2 million mt, increasing by 2.88 million mt WoW, up 9.2%. Among them, Australia's shipments reached 20.23 million mt, increasing slightly by 9.4% WoW. Shipments from Australia to China amounted to 16.79 million mt, accounting for 83% of Australia's total shipments, with a slight increase of 6% WoW. Brazil's shipments were 7.22 million mt, decreasing slightly by 0.4% WoW. Shipments from Brazil to China were 3.04 million mt, accounting for 42.1% of Brazil's total shipments, down 17% WoW. During this week, shipments from non-mainstream mines increased significantly by 21% WoW. The total SMM iron ore port arrivals in China were 28.06 million mt, increasing significantly by 6.46 million mt WoW, up 29.9%. It remained stable YoY. In terms of port arrivals by ore type, there was a significant increase in the port arrivals of coarse powder, lump ore, and pellets this week. However, lump ore arrivals decreased slightly.
